Erin Hoops
Associate
Erin practices solely in insurance defence. She has extensive experience defending real estate agents, mortgage brokers, engineers and paralegals, through their errors and omissions insurers, in professional liability claims. Erin often handles a wide range of construction-related disputes, including construction defects, delay claims and contract enforcement matters. She also acts for designers, manufacturers and distributors of various products in complex, multi-party litigation.
Erin has successfully represented her clients in various courts in Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia.
Erin has also acted as independent legal counsel to the Real Estate Council of Ontario, where she provided legal advice during disciplinary hearings, appeal hearings and panel discussions.
Erin graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she volunteered at the community legal aid clinic.
Outside of work Erin enjoys running, volunteering and spending quality time with her friends, family and dog Hailey.
Erin’s career has been focused on primarily on defending professionals including real estate agents, mortgage brokers, engineers and architects. Erin has also acted as independent legal counsel to the Real Estate Council of Ontario. In addition to the firm’s professional clients, Erin defends clients in the areas of construction and product liability law.
Erin graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she volunteered at the community legal aid clinic.
